Bloom Local is your go-to hub for hyper-local connection. Our mission is simple: to celebrate and connect everything that makes Allied Gardens a dreamy place to grow. Think of us as a curated link, bringing friends and small businesses together in creative and meaningful ways.

We coordinate events that highlight and support small businesses. We calendar clubs that help people connect over shared interests. And we celebrate what it means to be an Allied Gardens local.

My dream of being a Local.

My name is Valerie. I like sharing things I love with people I love. I like it a LOT. I consider myself a different kind of influencer.  Not the commodified, artificial social media kind, but more of the "in person, let me share my spreadsheet of favorites with you and tell you about all the things I find wonderful" kind.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of being a local. I love feeling connected to the people and places around me.  I want to live in a community that I cherish and make it better with/for the other people who live here.  It’s one of the main reasons Dave and I decided to buy a home in Allied Gardens and start our family here.  We’ve lived in AG since 2017 and in that time have collected a laundry list of special people and places. I want to share them with you.

…I also watched a lot of Cheers growing up and consider Sam, Norm, and Diane my close and personal friends.

I believe connecting with people face to face is critical to a healthy, happy, and fulfilled life. So let’s step away from our desk jobs and put down our devices. Let’s connect over books, coffee, crafts, and good food. Let’s build something special. Together.
